Ch-3 Rajtonia- An Enchanting Time

After a long six months, the festival known as ‘Rajtonia’ finally arrived. Entertainers and performers from all over were gathered for this festival, celebrated twice a year during the peak times of summer and winter. The festival has been celebrated since the kingdom of ‘Greengotinao’ came into existence. This year, for the first time, the festival was being celebrated in two different locations simultaneously. The celebration of the festival was in full swing across the entire kingdom. Everywhere, there were bright lights illuminating the surroundings as if the celestial beings themselves had descended from the heavens. Despite the outward display of joy, inside, everyone was sorrowful and broken. Friends were separated, lovers were parted. Yet, everyone was busy fulfilling the tradition of their festival. In the underwater kingdom, the temple held a special significance, attracting throngs of worshipers during the festival. The temple in Blueoingotinao was located very close, so the king and queen ordered a similar beautiful temple to be built in Greenoikondon just a few days before the festival. Both temples were made to look the same from the outside and inside. The exterior design of both temples drew inspiration from the natural world, featuring intricate carvings of sea creatures, swirling currents, and delicate coral formations. Inside, there were altars, statues, and sacred symbols representing the sea deities, surrounded by offerings and rituals performed by the underwater inhabitants. The temple also served as a gathering place for the community, where people came together for religious ceremonies and cultural events, strengthening their bonds with the sea and its deities.

During the festival, the ocean came alive with schools of glowing fish, luminescent jellyfish, and other organisms creating mesmerizing patterns and shapes. Residents launched lanterns made of biodegradable materials into the water, creating a stunning display of floating lights. People decorated their lanterns with messages of hope, gratitude, and aspirations for the future, dissolving all worries in the air of pure happiness.

Although no one was in the mood to celebrate this year due to personal sorrows, the tradition of the festival, which had been going on for thousands of years, was upheld under the orders of the king and queen. Singers, musicians, actors, dancers, models, and storytellers were summoned from far to entertain the people as usual. The entire kingdom was filled with joy, music, and laughter once again.

Kryotelena’s mood was very low during the festival because her best friend had been away from her for so long, something that had never happened before during the festival. She was deeply saddened, hiding her tears behind sunglasses. Before celebrating the festival, all went to the temple. Kryotelena used to visit the temple every day until she realized that Jacavelona loves Madson. She understood that there was a big difference between wishes and destiny. After dinner, as Kryotelena was going home with her parents, she suddenly saw Jacavolena on the other side of the glass. She stopped in. They couldn’t talk to each other, but everything was said through their eyes. They both wanted to talk to each other again, smile, and play like children. Lost in these thoughts, Kryotelena suddenly fainted. Then her parents rushed her to the healer. “Is there anything troubling your daughter a lot?” “No,” Kryotelena’s parents said. “But why do I feel that way?” the healer asked persistently. Then they thought about their friendship and said that maybe they should do something to convey this message to the king and queen so that they could make the decision to break the glass forever. Kryotelena’s parents became very emotional upon hearing this. As soon as Madson found out about Kryotelena, he ran to her. “Why are you here?” “What do you mean, why am I here? I’m here just to meet my friend. Everyone in the Greengotinao kingdom knows about our friendship and love trio.” “What do you mean by that? What are you trying to say?” Kryotelena’s parents asked. “I mean, Jacavelona, Kryotelena, and I have had a strong bond since childhood. We all truly love each other. Although I initially developed feelings for Jacavelona, we eventually became a couple. No matter how much time passes, the bond of friendship and love remains strong. While circumstances may have separated us physically, our hearts remain united. Okay, do whatever you want to do,” Kryotelena’s mother said. Then they both left. When Kryotelena regained consciousness, she saw Madson in front of her, as if time had stopped. For two days, Madson had been busy taking care of her. In those two days, Kryotelena experienced a whirlwind of emotions. However, she came to realize that some dreams are meant to be let go, and sacrifices must be made in love and friendship, much like how children sacrifice their sleep for so-called exams. She thought quietly and then smiled.
